Founded in 1978 by Barbara Arrowsmith-Young who is recognised as a pioneer and creator of one of the first applications utilising the principles of neuroplasticity. The Arrowsmith Program currently operates in 90 sites world-wide including 19 in Australia with 3 in NSW. More than 10,000 children, young people and adults have experienced the benefit of the program.
CoreSenses is proud to deliver the Arrowsmith Program which identifies and strengthens cognitive functions that hinder the learning process. Our goal is to help students of all ages become effective, confident, and self-directed successful members of their community.
WHAT THE ARROWSMITH PROGRAM DOES
The Arrowsmith Program is based on the application of neuroscience research and the premise that it is possible to identify and strengthen cognitive functions underlying all aspects of living. The goal is to help students of all ages become effective, confident, and self-directed learners.
Strengthens cognitive processes necessary for efficient learning.
Improves logical reasoning and understanding of Cause and Effect
Builds communication skills such as word identification, reading fluency, math calculation, math fluency, and writing.
Improves phonemic awareness, written and aural.
Improves and increases processing speed and working memory.
